By Hand From The Heart is a biannual Makers Market held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Akshaya Bhuvan, a student of class 11 (Lady Andal School), Chennai; will exhibit her art works – mostly abstract landscape works in oil pastels, dry crayons and ink; all her works are inspired from her travels and everyday life. By Hand From The Heart event will be Akshaya Bhuvan’s maiden art group show.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Akshaya Bhuvan. I am a student of Lady Andal school. I love to draw and paint. I began to show interest in painting from the age of five. Other than painting I enjoy listening to music. My family is my biggest strength & support in my artistic pursuits.
Why is making important to you?
I love to draw. Drawing gives me a special and a peaceful feeling. I express my thoughts and feelings through painting. Painting gives me that much need timeout.
Tell us about your showcase at By Hand, From The Heart.
I am going to showcase some of my most recent paintings at By Hand, From The Heart. This is my maiden art group show. I have used various mediums like oil pastels, pen and ink, charcoal and etc.
Chennai – your association with this city.
I love this city – Chennai, is my birth place and I find this city’s culture very inclusive. Warm and receptive to everyone; that’s Chennai for me.
What’s up next for you?
I believe this world is made by art. l want to learn & feel the need to explore oil painting and mixed media.
